Attorney Glorily A. Lopez focuses exclusively on U.S. immigration and nationality law, representing individuals, families, students, professors, professionals, and corporate clients in navigating the complexities of the immigration process. Her practice includes filing petitions with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), guiding clients through consular processing, naturalization, and securing legal pathways to U.S. citizenship.

Consistently recognized by her peers as one of the top immigration attorneys in Wisconsin and nationwide, Attorney Lopez has been listed in Best Lawyers® in America since 2007. She was named “Madison Lawyer of the Year – Immigration” in 2024, 2022, 2019, 2016, and 2013, and previously honored as a Wisconsin Super Lawyers Rising Star. In 2016, Madison365.com named her one of “Wisconsin’s 48 Most Powerful Latinos.” She holds a “10.0 – Superb” rating on Avvo.com and received the Avvo Clients’ Choice Award in 2012.

A longtime member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), a national organization of attorneys and law professors dedicated to immigration law, Attorney Lopez remains at the forefront of evolving immigration laws, policies, and regulations. She has served on AILA’s national Board of Governors and held leadership roles within the AILA Wisconsin Chapter, including Chair, Vice-Chair, and Treasurer. Her extensive liaison work with agencies such as USCIS, ICE, CBP, and the Wisconsin DMV reflects her commitment to systemic engagement and advocacy.

Before joining Murphy Desmond S.C. in 2012 as Immigration Practice Group Leader, Attorney Lopez founded and led Lopez Law Group, a boutique immigration firm, for more than 11 years. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, she provides culturally competent legal services to clients across Wisconsin and beyond.

Attorney Lopez is also a sought-after voice on immigration issues in local media and community forums and frequently presents on legal and policy developments.
